" ANDREW C. WARWICK DIES
Last Rites Thursday Afternoon for Lifelong Resident
Andrew C. Warwick, 62, of 18 Otter Creek Place, a life-long resident of Cortland, died yesterday afternoon following several months of failing health, resulting from an injury to his back received from an injury to his back received in a fall.
Mr. Warwick, who had been employed as a meat cutter at the Jones & Bunney market for many years, was injured last summer while he was carrying a quarter of beef. He slipped and injured his back so that he was placed in a cast. He had been paralyzed for the past 14 weeks, eight of which he spent in the Cortland County Hospital.
He was born in Cortland, June 18, 1875, son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Ellwood Warwick. He was a member of the Homer Avenue Methodist Church.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys Schlecht of Syracuse; two nephews, William Warwick of Syracuse and Harold Warwick of Cortland; and a niece, Lodema Warwick of Cortland.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 at Beard Memorial Home. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening between 7:00 and 9. Burial will be made in the Cortland Rural Cemetery."
