DR. R. PAUL HIGGINS, 68, DIES AT HIS HOME HERE THIS A. M.- Prominent Local Physician Ill Several Months Dr. R. Paul Higgins, 68, of
70 Tompkins Street, died this morning at his home after an illness of several months.
Dr. Higgins was born in McGraw, September 27, 1880, the son of the late Dr. Francis W. and Kittie Smith Higgins. He attended public schools of this city and in 1898 was graduated from Cortland Normal School. He then attended Cornell University and graduated in the class of 1902. While at Cornell he was a member of the Signa Psi Honorary society. During the last two years of his course he was assistant instructor in the department of physiology.
On October 28, 1908, he married
Mabel Brewer of this city, who survives him. He is survived also by two sons, Dr. R. Paul, jr. of Baltimore, Md. and Dr. Edward F. Higgins of Cortland; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Plummer of Tampa, Fla., one grandson, David Brewer Higgins of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. John Howell of Ithaca.
